Soooo. As I previously stated I suffered from data loss, and my cousin started creating a similar game in terms of gameplay. So we're gonna merge both projects into one, that means it'll contain elements from both games. Some may don't like this, but it'll be much more professional game overall, with much more depth, and you'll be able to use your mouse to play - actually, we encourage you to do so. I'll be updating the game's section now, so stay tuned. There's some info for curious people following, everyone else can stop reading now.
Hey guys, I'm not dead yet! I was just occupied for a while, mostly because DS suffered from severe data loss. I lost almost all maps, most of the dialog and a good chunk of equipment. I was able to fully restore the characters, item and weapons. I'm also changing the story, as the current one is pretty lame to be honest. I hope I can get everything rolling this month, but I guess I'll have to delay the demo to early July. I'm also happy to welcome a new member to the development team, my cousin Spektraldefektor! He'll help me balance things out and do some spriting, which is nice considering that he's lifting a big bunch of work from me. I'll also update the game's section sooner or later, but I wanna get the important stuff done first. That's for now, have some words from my cousin.

Before you ask, I've been on an exhausting trip until today, so I was unable to update the site. Everything went well, and I even have some progress to show!
Check this out: Character's names are now written in boxes above the actual text, and the dialog is not written in speech marks anymore, which allows for a lot more space. If I keep working on the game with my current speed, then a demo will be ready very soon! See y'all.
Uggghh...! Do you know that feeling of anger towards one of these chadbands? Y'know, that kind of guy who gives the worst video on YouTube a five star rating? The one who eats a friend's monster cookie and says it tasted good? The one who sleeps in the sh... I should stop now. But seriously, people like these annoy me sooo much! I just wish I could put them all in a bag and throw it into the ocean. But eh, there are different ways to deal with agressions towards people like these...
I'm probably overreacting a bit, but everyone has at least one single, silly flaw. Now for DS. I'm using a summoning system, which lets you call an additional guest unit, which will act on its and disappear after a while. It's still not 100% working, but well, better than nothing! See y'all~!
Yay, it's time for some useless trivia no one will care about! Like everyone, I got a certain source of inspiration for DS, in that case it's Summon Night series, which conists of four tactical RPGs and several spin-offs. I used to love the games as a child, and I still go and play them once in a while. While they may not be too intuitive, they're all very solid games with beautiful art. Check the (beta of the) third game out!
It's quiet depressing to see that the tactic RPGs never made it out of Japan. Some of the spin-offs got translated by Atlus, but they don't play like the main series at all. Since there's a lot of dialog and character interaction you're pretty much screwed if you want to playthe game with no knowledge of Japanese. See y'all~!
Oh yes, I'm working really hard to get a demo ready in time, balancing special abilities, enemies and character stats. Mapping, writing... My head's gonna explode. Anyways, take a look at all of the magic abilities:

I have no idea why, but I'm currently lacking any sort of inspiration and motivation to work on Disillusioned Strategies. I'll get sure to release a demo this month though, so don't be fooled by the lazy 'lil me. Also, this is the last project I'll ever create with RPG Maker, 'cause I'm starting to get the hang of programming, so my next game will be made with a custom engine! The new project (which is top-secret for now) will use 3D environments, with 2D sprites, much like these all new Pokémon or most of the NIS games. Also, a custom engine doesn't suffer from the RPG Maker limitations, so I can do everything my heart desires. \(^_^)/
As for DS... I started creating the character animations and everything's working fine so far. It's just a lot of hard, time-consuming work. I also finished my playthrough of Summon Night 4 and Sands of Destruction, none of these were really long. And now... I wanna spend some time with my friends, so see y'all~!
Well, for anyone who cares, I didn't abandon this site yet. I just didn't make a blog post in a while now... Because there's just nothing new to write! I'm safe and sound in Japan, but not really doing anything special. I got my hands on Sands of Destruction for the DS before I left though, and I'm liking it so far. The battle system was a bit confusing at first, but it's overall pretty simple. And all people are like 'OMG THE VOICES ARE BAAAD!!!' I. Don't. Agree. The voices are okay and all, I just think the voice actors themselves could've done better. I also really like the development team, imageepoch, because they also made Luminous Arc and 7th Dragon, two of my all time favs.
