First of all, I started working on the character animations. And that's a shit load of work: 44 poses á 6 frames. May not sound that big, but it is enormous! Now, let's calculate... Four characters, 44x4=176 poses in total. Oh. My. Ass. Even though it's hard to do, I want to make this game enjoyable. I also finished all of the game's spells, now I have to create the character specific abilities. I'm also desperately trying to balance the beta enemies, but they just keep being overpowered >.< I guess I have to implement a custom damage formula, even though I never-ever wanted to do that... ;__;
Oh yes, I know it's in the middle of the night, but my fly to Japan goes very soon. I'm super-dee-duper excited (^_^)/ But to keep on the bottom, I made some updates for Disillusioned Strategies (DS)

Pretty shitty if you go to school by foot, like me. Anyways, I've been on a development hype lately, so the database for DS is almost done! I also finally found a tester, who will check out everything before I set the demo free to you guys! I'll also update the game's section very soon, providing character bios and such. I should also start to pack my stuff, but I guess that can wait, better prepare for the maths finale tomorrow! I hope I can do this... ;____;
Wish me luck, Mysterious strangers! Okay, summer holidays will start next week and I can't wait for them. But there's still the retarded maths finale this Thursday... ~.~
I can't stand maths, really. Everything was fine when the numbers were still small and complete. Then stuff like 1/2 and 3/8 came... Oh my gawd! I'll spend my summer in Japan, together with some relatives, but I'll still update! (For those who actually care) Also, the base town for Disillusioned strategies is almost completed, I just need to add some stuff... So that it won't look too empty. Also did a good chunk of the enemies, giving them all rather unique skills. I'm gonna speed up production, since I want a demo ready for the 1st of June. Better take the title serious! I started to feel a bit sick, mostly my stomach making strange sounds and hurting, but also my head being all heated up. But eh, I don't get sick so easily. I finally found out what FP in Luminous Arc 2 are good for, they allow the main character to use a Flash Drive (overdrive super skill) in battle. Too bad I didn't get the chance to try one yet. I'm also busy with Phantom Brave: We Meet Again for the Wii, which is a ridicolously in-depth strategy RPG. Seriously, it's so massive, you won't be able to get everything on the first playthrough. The game has too many mechanics to explain them all here, so you might take a look here: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/nipponichi/nipponichi3.htm I already spent 10 hours into it and I'm not even halfway through. Haaaa, strategy greatness ^_______^
Well, that's it for today, gonna take a nap to recover~ Well, I finally got around creating this page \^o^/
Anyways, I'll be posting real life stuff and game stuff here, and indie game stuff in another blog, which yet has to be created. Anyways, I recently got the game Luminous Arc 2, because a friend recommended it for me. I wasn't that hyped about it, mostly because it looked so similar to Final fantasy Tactics Advance. But now I'm happy that I bought it, because it's a really good game! It may not look like atechnical powerhouse (it isn't) but there's a real lot of voice acting, and voice acting eats up a lot of space, especially on a DS cartridge. The character art is also nicely done, there's even a high quality anime intro, full with a Japanese theme song! The battles are pretty standard strategy stuff, but I like it. The main character also has the option the 'engage' with one of the witch characters who join you as you progress, which grants him a special elementary power for a while. Between battles you can have a conversation with a selected party member, which will raise their FP. I still have no idea what FP are good for, but I'll soon find it out! So, if you like strategy RPGs, Atlus and/or nice character art then you should definitely check this game out. It wasn't released in Europe yet, but all DS games are region free, so that means you can order it from the US and play it just fine on a European DS. |
